[The Butterfly Project]

So the butterfly project is a very important and helpful movement that should be more known. It's meant for people who self abuse and trust me there are a lot of different ways to do that. So here are the basic elements to it:

1. When you feel like you want to cut, take a marker, pen, or sharpies and draw a butterfly on your arm or hand.
2. Name the butterfly after a loved one, or someone that really wants you to get better.
3. You must let the butterfly fade naturally. NO scrubbing it off.
4. If you cut before the butterfly is gone, you’ve killed it. If you dont cut, it lives.
5. If you have more than one butterfly, cutting kills all of them.
6. Another person may draw them on you. These butterflies are extra special. Take good care of them.
7. Even if you don’t cut, feel free to draw a butterfly anyways, to show your support. If you do this, name it after someone you know that cuts or is suffering right now, and tell them. It could help.

Gut Feeling

There is a pain
Deep in the gut
Trying to control your lungs
There's a pain
Deep in the gut
That's writing this sad song
There's that pain
That brings frustration
And hate into the soul

There's that snowfall
That covers up the noise
Which pesters the pain
Swallowed deep in that gut

There's that doubt you have to hide
That's streaming out
Telling you lies
Or there's that doubt
Which reveals the truth
Of which the mass can't handle
Here are the lies, secrets, and truths
Mixing into a wash of gray
Now which part can you choose?
For can it all be one big truth?
